Karkonosze

In my first post I would like to recommend you one of Polish mountain range – Karkonosze. Karkonosze are the biggest mountain range in Sudety mountains. They are located in southwest Poland and they are on a list Global Biosphere Reserve of UNESCO.  I have visited this amazing mountains this summer with my family. I was hillwalking all the time. In witness whereof I attache you some photo from the highest crown – Śnieżka (1602 meters above sea level).
But this area can offered not only the beautiful mountains and sights but also museums, castles and monuments. One of them is temple “Wang” – transferred from Norwegian small town named Vang. The temple had been build without using nails. :O

About 60 kilometers from the main tourist center we can visit “Czocha” castle. In this historical place people can learn more about medieval torture and life. On the castle’s premises is situated a hotel with a few meeting halls and a small restaurant. The “Czocha” castle has a few special attractions for tourists.

Another attraction from this region are colourful lakes. There are located in forest and sometimes is challenging to find them. Their color caused by specific elements for example copper or iron and thus in not everyone of them you can bath.

There is many more beautiful places hidden in this area, but maybe I shouldn’t point all of them out so that you can explore Karkonosze all your own one day ;)
